Forest Apartment in the National Park Harz

This comfortable holiday apartment is situated in a quiet central location named Torfhaus (800 meter high), at the foot of the highest Mountain of north Germany called Brocken (1142 meters). A top location in the middle of some of the best scenery the National Park “Harz” has to offer! Excellent for walking, mountain biking or simply admire the beautiful forest. In the “Harz” you will find kilometres of walking and cycling paths and also many lakes (like “Eckertalsperre” & “Oderteich”) that can be easily reached. It's an inspired space to relax after your nature adventures or the perfect getaway from a busy life.


The Park has also a rich collection of opportunities to immerse yourself fully into its history and heritage – both past and present like the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage city Quedlinburg or Wernigerode or the former “iron curtain”.


Food aficionados will fall in love with the region’s unique array of restaurants and eateries.


The apartment has two bedrooms with a comfortable living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The accommodation is ideal for a maximum of 4 guests.

    “Beautiful cosy chaletBeautiful chalet in a beautiful setting. Comfortable beds with cloud-like pillows and duvets. TV in many languages. Kitchen all inclusive and in good working order. Washing machine and dryer. If anything, ladder is a bit steep for older guests, and bathroom a bit cosy if a large person were staying there. Perfect for a mother and one child or a couple with a child or friends. Only drawback is you really need to have a car if staying there, as it is rather long walk anywhere. No wifi, and as my mobile phone had stopped working there was no way to book taxis. But we still had a lovely time and I would recommend this chalet to anyone who had their own transportation. Children from about age 3 and up as the ladder could be difficult for smaller children. Perfect for my 11 year old. Not suitable for older or disabled travellers.”
