Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and find peace and quiet in this bright holiday home, which is located on a quiet gravel road in cosy Stora Rör. Look forward to game afternoons and film evenings on the sofa with a view of the pool and Kalmarstrae, as well as cosy get-togethers over a barbecue on the pool terrace. The awning provides shade on hot days. The shared, heated outdoor pool will delight young and old alike. In the morning or late in the evening, you can jump into the pool whenever you like during the summer months.
Between Borgholm and Färjestaden you will find the charming village of Stora Rör, idyllically situated directly on the Kalmar Strait. The village's harbour has a long history as a ferry base, as the strait between the island and the mainland is narrowest here. Today, however, the small harbour only serves as a marina and fishing port. Because Öland is so flat, it is considered the perfect island for cycling. The island is so narrow that you can cycle to the sea from anywhere on the island. So it's best to bring your bikes with you! The fertile valley of Mörbylånga in particular invites you to go on beautiful hikes and cycle tours. The limestone plain, Stora Alvaret, offers you unique nature, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also visit the windmills at Lerkaka and the castle ruins at Gråborg and Lenstad Borg, as well as the spooky castle ruins at Borgholm. If you fancy more experiences, simply cross the six-kilometre bridge to Kalmar or take the bicycle and passenger ferry, Dessi.
